Lead Paragraph- There
can be a lot of things that can go wrong that you may not notice when buying
your used car. We’re going to make
sure that it doesn’t happen!
Body: I’ve received many questions asking “What to look for when
buying a used car” and it’s time to post it here on this blog. There are plenty
of things that can go wrong when you’re buying a
used car. A few things that you want to look for is ensuring that
the car is in proper form, this means that you should look at the car at a
ground level to ensure that there is nothing wrong with the tires or anything
sagging on the car. Second, you want to look at the paint job of the car.
There’s nothing worse than purchasing a car and when you get home you realize
that there are plenty of scratches on the door, or at the bottom of the car.
Also look for dents and rust, they can be very difficult to find at times. This
one is very important and often overlooked. Always look under the hood for any
indication of damage, rust or dents. That can be a big sign that this car
wasn’t taken care of properly by its previous owner, also try to bring a friend
or family along that knows a lot about cars so he/she can assist you in finding
damages with the engine or the car itself. Also ensure that the air
conditioning is working, I’ve heard plenty of stories where the air conditioner
stops working after purchasing it so be very careful of that. Make sure you
check the odometer for the mileage on the car, sometimes the previous owner can
try to make the car sound more appealing by saying the mileage is lower than it
actually is. Lastly always try to read
used car reviews online on the car that
you’re purchasing to see how long the car can last and how expensive repairs
for it can be.
Has anything bad
happen to you when you purchased your used car?
