How do you know if you're getting a good price for your car

How do you know if you're getting a good price for your car

Buying your first car is exciting but also can be a massive headache and full of questions if you're not a car person. Lucky for you people have made many mistakes buying their first car and have learned through their mistakes.

For all those people who don't have a high education or passion for cars and are simply looking for a used car that won't cost them a lot and don't really know what their buying, I recommend a used car check list to help you get the best price on a car that will not end up costing you big bucks $ in repairs. These check list will help in buying a quality used car by taking the right steps before putting down any money. The last thing any used car buyer wants is to purchase a used car and not feel 100% comfortable that the car doesn't have any maintenance issues or a bad history.

How long did your first used car go before a maintenance visit?

Where can I find a cheap car to get me from A to B?

What’s the best used car to get as a temporary vehicle that?
My car recently broke down about five days ago, and I’m still saving enough money for a Dodge Charger, but It’s going to take me another eight or nine months to gather enough money for that car, so I was wondering what’s a cheap used car that I can purchase and can drive with no problems for the next few months? I’m not looking for anything in specific just something that can drive me from point A to B with ease. I would prefer a used car as I’m only going to have it for a few months and then re-sell it to someone. Do you guys have any recommendations? And let me know your experience with the car that you recommend like if it was a cheap first car that you purchased.

Do you guys drive for style or just to get from point A to B?

What should your used car cost?

Car prices can be very deceptive, especially when buying a used car. Make sure you know the value of a car before purchasing!

The most obvious thing you need to know about the cost of the used car is its retail price, always ensure that you know how much a brand new version of that car costs before purchasing and looking at the used car prices. You want to ensure that you are saving enough to make it worth buying it used.
As consumer reports stated “If you are buying it from a private seller, you can usually expect to pay a somewhat lower price. Retail is also considerably higher than the price you’ll receive for your trade-in because it includes a profit margin for the dealership.” (Consumerreports.org)
Also if you want to find the average price of a used car you can check websites such as Usedcars.com and AutoTrader.com. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re buying the car online; these fantastic websites can be used as a margin for what you should be paying for the vehicle you’re buying.

How much did you spend on your first car? Or how much are you willing to spend?
